converting mkv to dvd

I have a 5.71 GB 720p high definition mkv format movie on my pc.How can I convert this file to dvd format for viewing on my sony bravia hdtv with a dvd player?The movie has 5.1 DTS sound so DvdSanta does not support it for conversion.I do not want loss of quality as thats the reason I want to watch it on my hdtv(supports 1080i and 720p).I can watch the movie by connecting the cpu directly to my tv but I cannot bring the speakers along with the cpu to my hdtv.(Note-My pc is in the basement of my house along with my logitech z5500 speakers.No chance of carrying these speakers up.)

mkv is a compressed format
No matter how much you try to convert it to DVD Format,there will definitely be some loss of visual quality in Video

And converting it will increase the file size drastically

USE AVI2DVD and techtronic is TRUE!

You have no choice but to lose quality in DVD conversion or using a PC connected to the HDTV to view the video... Blu ray maybe, but I'm not to sure.
