ups is meant for pc not home appliances for which inverter is used.though now-a-days most inverters from known brands like su-kam,luminous etc comes with a switch which allow operation in both inverter & ups mode.the main difference is that at low voltage(~150-200 volt i think, normal is 220 volt)inverter in ups mode will continue using batteries because most home appliances can tolerate this low voltage(not too low though like 90 volt) but not pc.also batteries inside ups are of lower capacity compared to bulky ones used with home inverters which can give backup for hours.my advice is get a cheap decent ups from intex(unless you have a costly pc having Rs.10000-15000 graphics card & a similar priced processor & mobo) for ~1200 & get a 1kva or more inverter for home use.

intex 600VA is enough for both systems with reasonable backup time.if you can spend more then you can get 800VA or even 1KVA for more backup time but in my opinion it is not worth it.instead save cash to spend later on your new/future pc.

ok...man...but if i buy my new pc (which i will buy 1yr latter) it will have something newor i would say better,, like i5,MB will be simple & basic,,ram will be ddr3 a better GPU & probably all things will be same.......would a 600va or 800va...provide the need full backup,,,,also what will a intex 600va,800va,,1kva provide(backup time)....... can u suggest some ups to me....

i am considering intex GAMMA 1KVA & Marvel Black 1KVA iball Nirantar UPS-1080V (1KVA) which one is better.......

what is the difference between Stepped Sine-wave & Simulated Sine Wave.....

1.1kva APC ups costs ~5000 & is the best ups.among intex & iball my suggestion is intex.marvel black looks better & don't think too much about type of sine wave(which will require knowledge of Fourier series in maths too among other things in physics :) ).
