Hello,
want to assemble a budget desktop for casual use at home. I dont much about products and prices. Please guide. Here's what I have selected. Prices are taken from deltapage & Itwares.

Are the prices right ? Would be great if i save few bucks by further changes.

for intel config, get ASUS P5K PL VM mobo instead of Intel mobo.

Mobo: Biostar TA780G M2+ ( ~Rs.3100! *www.biostar.com.tw/app/en-us/t-series/content.php?S_ID=344)
DVD Writer: LG is cheaper and hasnt given me any problem for 2 yrs
Rest same.

Athlon 64 X2 4600+ is better than E2160 acc. to CPU charts on tom's hardware.

I madeup mind for Athlon 64 x2 4600+ but need a mobo of lesser price. assus or msi would be great for local&easy availability.

And the last time I checked, 4600+ was 3.1K. How price so low ? :D

I checked that mobo's price today morning by phone in pune (coz i'm also buying it in few days). Abacus peripherals sells biostar mobos.

^^These prices i got from him -

1) BIOSTAR TPOWER i45 7200+4% = 7488
2) BIOSTAR TP45 5900+4% = 6136
3) BIOSTAR TP43D2-A7 3840+4% = 3994
4) BIOSTAR A780G-M2+ SE 2990+4% = 3110

The TP45 - i dunno if that rate is for TP45D2-A7 or TP45 HP.

i45 is the most overclockable board out there (world record they say) and has crossfire support.

TP45D2-A7 isnt made for overclocking i believe and no crossfire.

Go for Asus P5KPL-CM motherboard.....
Samsung SH-S203 22x for 1.1k or so......
Zebronics Bijli with 400W PSU for 1.6k or so.......
You can get 16MB Buffer 320GB WD HDD for 2.5k or so......
Rest all looks fine to me
