combo confusion?

hi guys i have a look at the config i have planned in a very limited budget
but i cant figure out which one to go with
INTEL
cpu : core i3 2100 Rs.5500
motherboard : intel DH61WW Rs.3300
Graphic Card : HD 5670 Rs.4500
Cabinet :iball cabinet Rs.1000
Total : 14300
i have my old rigs ddr3 2 gb RAM and 550w psu

or should i go for
AMD
phenom II x2 555 BE Rs.4500
Asus M4N68T-M LE V2 Rs.2300
Cabinet : CoolerMaster 310 Elite Rs.1500
Ram : 4 GB ddr3 Corsair Rs.1400
Graphic Card : HD 5670 Rs.4500
Total : 14200

i guys help me out with it which one is better for gaming as well as in performance??

Both the config are quite balanced, but i3 looks better.

It will be better if you let us know, the purpose of the build.

A:yup mostly

A:Monitor,HDD,DVD combo,psu

12. Which city do you live in and are you open to buying from shops from other city/states?
A:i live in Mumbai and would not prefer shoping from other states untill its a easy way and free ship (u dont except a 15 yrs old boy to keep a credit card )

A:i am looking for the best bang for bucks in a very very limited budget

For time being a 2GB is enough to push lot of games at that resolution. IMO spend more on core components. Upgrade another 2GB later, when get some more cash.

+1 for the intel rig

the psu is an elcheapo and might not be able to handle hd 5670 better upgrade that too

bcoz u cannot rely on an elcheapo for ur gpu and if u are plannig to overclok better get P or Z series mobo else leave overclocking

1. Monitor is fine.
2. Avoid that PSU, get a FSP Saga II 500w.
3. If you are OK with DVD Reader & CD Writer then fine, otherwise Get DVD Writer at 900.
4. Use this RAM's, get another pair if required.

Are you sure OP can afford a P or Z series at that Budget ???? Rethink.

My suggestion will be Phenom II X4 955 B.E. and Gigabyte GA-MA78LMT-S2 as it offers better multithreaded performance and very good gaming performance. although i3 2100 performs slightly better in gaming compared to 955, phenom II X4 955 can be overclocked upto 3.6 GHz with its stock cooler to match the gaming performance where 2100 can't be.

i m avoiding to go for amd they a all time power hungry an 955 BE is a 125w cpu i need a 4+1 phase good mobo which cost nothing less then 4k

i will add in a 4 gig RAM later this month

a 955BE when oc to 4 Ghz will be around a i3 i am a all time overclocker since i have a lower budget i m not i will probably oc the graphics card if u have any other things to share pls i will be glad to hear ur suggestions

will i get a 5670 1GB GDDR5 for 4500 in mumbai???????

Phenom II 955 BR doesnt need to be OCed to 4 Ghz to Match i3. It will kill it at that speed.

And really going for a Dual Core CPU now is not a wise choice as more and more applications and games are going with Multi-Core Approach and Phenom will go more powerful by the passing day with this.
