^^ question here. amd sites lists minimum of 500W power for hd 6850, so will fsp sagaII 500W be able to support all the components? is there any good fsp 600W psu available for 3k?

amd phenom ii 955 be + radeon hd 5770 = amd athlon ii x4 635 + radeon hd 6850 in terms of price. which one is better, getting l3 cache for gaming or sacrificing it for better discrete graphics card?

^^ yes. will support without any problem.

also a note to OP: don't listen to shopkeepers whatever they say. they'll surely try to force you get slow, outdated parts. BEWARE.

^^ Go for ishu's config. It slightly overshoots your budget but is absolutely worth it. Get a 1tb hdd instead of the 500gb by adding an additional 1k.

You can also opt for a phenom 2 955be by adding additional 2k. Its can be overclocked very easily due to the unlocked multiplier.

@OP: why not get >5k GPU and reduce the cost on processor? you need to play games, isnt it? make it future proof. what are you going to get in <5k? anyways you may consider radeon hd 5670. dell st2220m has backlight bleeding problem, AFAIK. get the rig suggested by ishu. you cant get better than that for your budget.

itb seagate hd
4gb corsair
zebronics gaming cabinet

Ishu Gupta

You said you wanted to play Crysis 2.
It won't even be playable on lowest setting on that onboard GPU.

And whats this GSM power supply?

And 20" won't be 1080p/FullHD

yeah i am going to buy a graphics card later
gsm is decent compony that produces cabinets ans smps
the monitor is 900p.....with led backlit
are there any better option for monitors under 8k

Ishu Gupta

Manchester United
Did you look at my config?
I suggested a 1080p monitor for 7.3k
You can also go for Dell ST2220M @ 8.2k

And if you are going to buy a graphic card later....
Component | Model | Price
CPU|Intel i5 2400|9.5k
Motherboard|Intel DH67Bl B3|5.5k
RAM|Corsair 2x2GB DDR3 1333MHz|2.3k
HardDisk|Seagate 500GB|1.7k
Power Supply|Corsair VX450W|3.5k
Cabinet|NZXT Gamma|2k
Monitor|Benq G2220HD|7.3k
Total||31.8k
This won't let you Overclock but its WAY better than 955BE.

never heard of GSM. maybe some local brand. as you are going for a GPU later, invest in a descent PSU. not the costliest but the one recommended by Ishu. enough for all sub 15k cards.
