yes...yes...it happened with orkut. but for me nothing got saved.

take a screenshot of d browser window wit d pic in it and den save it

btw did u notice dat d same happens in google on d page it shows up d results of ur search queries

me think its bcos of d usage of AJAX for rendering d pages [jussst a wild guess]

this is because orkut overlaps the display image with a transparent gif image.

so when u try to save it, all u get is that transparent image.

the solution is simple.just look into the source code of that page and locate the url of desired image.

e.g.- if ur looking at the profile of that person whos image u want to save, open source and look for this line---

<div class="navPanelTop" width="144">
<div style="background-image: url(*img1.orkut.com/images/medium/xxxxxxxxxx/xxxxxxxxxx.jpg)

where x= some numbers

(for finding it easily, press ctrl-f and enter "navpaneltop" and search)

now the url of the desired image is --
*img1.orkut.com/images/medium/xxxxxxxxxx/xxxxxxxxxx.jpg

simple:)

A better option is to take a screenshot of just the display pic. :)

After all, not everyone is capable of finding URLs from the source.

dat is wat i also suggested, no jhanjat at all:)

btw dat pic, is sent streaming/dynamically [4 lack of a better term] to d browser

yeasterday i saved d page on 2 d hdd and opened it d profile pic was there, den it edited its source 2 misspell orkutta and d pic did not appear back
it was also not there in d html source folder

rajdeepsignh86's method works tho!!
