Hey guys i have read in the forum somewhere i don't rememmber that vita is not worth buying. I just wanted to know the reason as i will buy it afer i move to my college.

Have you not considered the 3DS? The Vita is a great device in terms of potential, but if you're not hellbent on a Sony device, the 3DS has an extremely well developed library of games.

I am strictly talking about portable gaming. In that case Mobiles are good enough and they facilitate you with other facilities also.

If you want physical button just buy those Gamepads for Android phones. If its not here in India then just get a 2013 line Xperia cellphone and hook it up to a PS3 gamepad. And from the Android gaming reviews, games are really fun to play on a gamepad..
But nothing beats the 3DS...its a hit, and expect more great games to come, like that new Zelda game..

I suggest the PS vita. The upcoming game line up looks promising. You have games like The Walking Dead 400 Days, Rayman Legends, Tearaway, Killzone Mercenary, Batman Arkham Origins: Blackgate, Final Fantasy X / Final Fantasy X-2 HD, Dust 514: Neocom , Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty , Flower and lots more.

It spiked for a week in Japan only, that too after a massive marketing campaign for Toukiden, and then it dropped back to ~22k from that spike of ~40k units in only a week.

Is graphics the only thing you're looking for? Do you want to enjoy games or do you want to drool at eye candy?
The 3DS doesn't have bad graphics by any stretch of imagination. You will definitely have a blast on the 3DS if you're looking to enjoy yourself.

Last time i heard, worldwide sales were around 3.5 million this year only. In a span of 2 -3 months , its more than 5 million ( 5.36 mil). Now doesn't that mean its picking up sales?
Japan is indeed responsible for sales w.r.t that title ( Toukiden). I never said its selling like hot cakes or demolishing the competition, but its certainly and definitely picking up.

And arguing that console X has a bigger penis than console Y is hardly relevant. That has never determined console success and enjoyability. History has way too many examples.
How many times have you gone to a video game store or a video games section in an electronics store and seen people discuss the cell engine with employees of the store and how hardware of one console is better?
VGChartz does not cite their sources, so I can hardly call their data reliable. Also, their wiki is not even up to date with the latest chart numbers for 2012 for some of the sources they take numbers from across multiple regions. If you have a source for that 5.36mil number I would like to see it.
But you missed my point: Toukiden caused a spike for one week and then the sales fell down again for PS Vita. How is that picking up sales if it is a burst and then a fall? From ~31k down to ~22k.
According to May NPD Sales Data, the Vita has been selling less than 30k every month in the US and we know that it has not been outdoing the 3DS in Japan, so according to the VGChartz data, in Q1 2013 the Vita must have sold like hell in Europe, otherwise it is not possible to add ~2million units in such a short span of time.
Feel free to post reliable data that counteracts this, otherwise those numbers are hard to believe.
