The bsnl 2g now doesn't exist....
everything is 3g

you'll get 3g sim and only now 3g data plans available on bsnl now

so you've got no choice

How about network coverage(signal strength, bandwidth issues, etc.)when compared to Aircel,Airtel,Vodafone, etc. And the likes?

in our area atleast, both mobile and broadband services of bsnl are very good. so i can take the chance and go for it. btw, thanks for all your suggestions ppl. i got a 3g connection today. let's hope it's activated soon. if anyone can suggest some good prepaid (preferably unlimited) data plan, it'll be great!

BSNL 3G is blazing fast, I am getting download speeds upto 1MBps where as my broadband speed is just 60kBps only. The data packages are not cheap though. See the speedtest result.
