mint is very good
but Pcoslinux is not bad eiether i think you need to have a little paitence before making a verdict.

Take my advice stick to mint for at least 2-3 months & then see
now as you decided to try mint, i suggest first try i for a while.
also take a look at *ubuntuguide.org/. this page will answer all your initial queries & much more.

but this is for ubuntu but don't worry as mint is ubuntu+some tweaks so these tips will apply on mint too

its good, as you are new please have patience.
Remember the days when first time sat of computer & learnt what a start menu
it will be like that only or little better.
you have relearn as linux is different from windows

so cant remember but wil try and experiment.

linuxmint just simply ROX.
superfast surfind and DLing.
is there any help option like ubuntu where i can find all the info?

linux mint is just ubuntu. only a difference in name as more software is added by default. so all that works (or doesn't work) for ubuntu applies to mint too. even programs/repos/problems/guides.. almost everything!
