Why do you want a DDR2 based system? DDR2 has already been discontinued for mainstream usage, costs higher and getting phased out. Get the current standard DDR3, which is far cheaper.

AMD Athlon II X2 260 @ 3K
Gigabyte GA-MA78LMT-S2 @ 2.5K
Dynet 2GB 1333 MHz DDR3 @ 0.65K
LG 22X SATA DVD R/W @ 0.9K
Seagate 500 GB 7200.12 SATA HDD @ 1.9K
Frontech/Intex Cabinet without SMPS @ 0.7K
FSP SAGA II 500W PSU @ 2K

Total 11.65K

Kingston is cheaply available too...as low as .8k for 2gb
