I disagree with dr sahab.u should buy 2x512 instead of 1 Gb stick,because when u use it in dual channel,your FSB got doubled.So if u buy 512x2 MB RAM of 667 MHZ,it will become 1 GB of 1334 MHZ.On the other side if u go for 1 GB stick the FSB will remain 667 MHZ.Although there is a slight difference in the price but u will get the value for u r money.

2x512 MB will give you more bandwidth now but if you plan to upgrade the RAM to 2 GB in the near future then buying a single chip of 1 GB now makes more sense.

If 1 GB RAM is all you'll ever need then get 2x512 MB and run it in dual channel mode but if you feel that post-Vista you'll need 2 GB then buy a single 1 GB chip now, add another 1 GB chip later and run them in dual channel mode. Plus you'll still have 2 slots free for future upgrades.

Sorry my bad...i wasn't able to read the whole thread.
Well about now i think if u 512x2 FSB increased but very slight difference,i agreed but only in regular processes.But this dual channel differnce can be seen in games.U 'll see a major difference.Remember graphics card with higher FSB gives more bandwidth,just because of the memory.
And the price of 2X512 is higher than single 1 GB.
Anyways i think guys have make up their mind.

2*512mb ddr2 533== 2*2950, 667 mhz wud be 400-500 more;accrdin to him

cabint+ psu==1200
ups==2200
total is around 24500, mi budget is 25000

suppose i keep the mobo same nd get an athlon 64 3000+, to save some more get a 80 gb sata nd 512 mb only .....out of the balance, can i get a gfx card which can play carbon at 800x600, with eye candy, i dont want extremely high frame rate also..............
so whats ur opinion????

MSI mobo r very gud,i've used them myself.Buy X2 3800+,it better dan X2 3600+.I dont know the price of Asus M2NPV-MX,so cant tell u the price difference.I ran NFS Carbon at 1024x768 res with good frame rates.I got my pc from Durgapur.Most of the componets in my pc were bought at diff times,latest being the mobo,proccy,ram,HDD and gfx card.Plz specify the components of which u wanna know the rates.

yeah MSI mobos nd also Gcards are gud. Ive very gud xperience with my older MSI GFX card.

Asua is better than MSI but MSI has its own advantage.MSI K8N Diamond plus has sound blaster audigy on it,where as ASUS A8N SLI-Deluxe is has nothing like that & is also costlier than diamond but ASUS has better performance in all aspects.
