Time to build new system..help me

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Gaming ( Dirt3,BF3,Crysis 2) and MS VS 2012 ,Photoshop

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 40-45K

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Yes

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 7/Windows 8

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: I already have WD Black 1TB

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Yes, 22"/24"

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: HDD (WD Black 1TB), Graphics Card (own Sapphire HD5850), PSU (Corsair VX550w), Mouse

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: starting of next month

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: by me

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: New Delhi, will buy locally (Nehru Place)

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Ram should be 8GB or above

Processor : Intel i5 2500k - 12k
CPU Cooler : Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 2.1k / Zalman CNPS9900A - 3.5k
Motherboard : ASRock Z77 Extreme4 - 10.5k
RAM : Gskill RipjawsX 8GB (4GB x 2) 1600 CL9 - 3k
Cabinet : NZXT Elite 210 Source - 2.4k
Monitor : Benq G2222HDL - 7.5k
Keyboard : Razer Arctosa - 2.5k
UPS : APC 700va - 2.5k [Since 800va is EOL]
Total : 42.5k

IMO Sell the Existing PSU i.e Corsair VX550 & get a TX750 v2 along with another HD 5850 [might set you less than 6-7k]. 5850 CF will be pretty good for BF3 & Crysis 2 & also upcoming Crysis 3 & few more titles.

the existing VX550 PSU is absolutely fine with the config. Just remove the Monitor, Keyboard, UPS, that's all

At this budget dont go for non oc rig . Go For a OC rig and dont OC .

Asus P8Z77M-pro will get my vote. And don't go for a Z77 mobo if you're not gonna overclock.

Many differences. More power phases, ROG series features, capability of x8/x8 SLI/Xfire, etc.

Not much difference b/w 2500k and 3570k performance wise. Except the faster quicksync and low power consumption. The high price of i5 3570 isn't justified. If you get it for less than 14k, then you can consider getting it.

Yup, VX-550 is enough.
And get the i5-3570k only if you get it for a good price say around 14k or less. Else go with i5-2500k for 12.5k.

Opt for the i5 2500k and spend the balance on the GPU.
