I paid a visit to the same croma showroom again (to buy a tripod) and chanced to see the 820-black version. It was just yesterday that they had told me that the new lumia or the 8X will not arrive for atleast a month to this particular outlet.
Here are my observations from a 30 minute session.
Its surprisingly large, pictures dont do it justice. But felt just right to hold. Matte back cover looks way better than say the back of an S2/S3 though not as good as the finish on the One X.
The screen resolution is low as per specs, but you dont really notice it at all. I didnt find any reason why someone would stare at their phone from 6 inches away.
Fluid interface (as expected) and decent camera.
