yea but if they are extremely costly and if AMD gets over their phenoms stepping , it will be great.also this will also mean that apps are optimised for both the proccys.so we wont see different results like we see now.

the proccy that they show everywhere , the 8 core one will cost a bomb i believe :D
and with the nehalems DDr3 will get into action but dont expect prices to fall by half.i think 4gb ram would still cost 12k instead of twice as now

hope that AMD does something good and stops making these price cuts everyday :|

^^now no one knows AMD. everyone's forget abt them, so u do the same. the 8 core proccy will only suit the budget of Bill Gates and this is classified intelligence report. And Larabbe one will be costlier. :D:D

Deneb was supposed to tackle Nehalem, but fusion is a totally different league.
Though, something is better than nothing.

Nehalem, this year will be for Servers. Desktop version of Nehalem will come in mid 2009.
Dude what's wrong with the price cut? I think its good to have drastic price cuts, its better for the end-users, its good for us.
See u might have noticed that when AMD kicks off with DUal Cores (the Era of 939) it was heavily priced, but ever since Conroe launched, the prices shattered. One of my good friend still owns 4400+ (939) and he bought it for 32K! Now u can see how much AM2 processor and better performing C2Duo's priced.

By the time of early 2010, the market will be full of cheap 8-core processors.
I wish even VIA should also join the war of high-end processors. Then we have multiple choices of choosing the best and ultimately prices will fall.

Price cuts are good for us. But not for AMD. They are already suffering huge losses afaik, and further price cuts will kill the company..

^^They are losing more in a month than they are earning in a year :D

Lol.. Those price cuts are unavoidable. If they charge more for their processors, then obviously they will lose their small share of customers cause Intel processors which offer the same performance are priced less or offer better performance for that price. Intel is taking advantage of this situation by making huge price cuts... AMD has no chance to beat Intel anytime soon.. Maybe in the coming years, we will see something good from AMD:)
