A very unusual problem. Please help!

Hey guys,

i am having a very weird problem and i don't know what could have caused it.
So here's the deal - i was using project 64 ; A nintendo 64 emulator. i had been using it for a few days and it was working just fine. So, then yesterday, out of blue, it started to crash just a few seconds after i run it. even when i just open it and do nothing else. Also, the program window had a red outline around it which was absent before. Later on i notinced 2 more programs behaving the same way - Teracopy and Gamemaker.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling - the problem persisits.

please help, i really need to use these programs.

Does a dialog show up after they crash? If so, please state what it says.

Also, try installing the latest version of .net framework. and then check.

turn aero theme off & then see if it helps.

this can be caused by some security software. making the game run inside sandbox like Comodo or Avast Internet Security.

Looks like program is sandboxed. What security suite you are using. Do as sam said as both avast and comodo can do this or some other software.

yeah the red outline clearly indicates that Game Maker 8 is sandboxed by avast .. stop avast while playing games .. ..

^^even better way would be to let avast running and rather disabling the avast sandbox application execution from settings.

just in case u dont want to stop avast /comodo. applies for both.

I disabled the avast sandbox and all is well now
