1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to play?
Ans: well all of the COD, GTA (excluding 5), Assassin creed, skyrim etc. 720p movies, browsing with multiple tabs. That's all.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 30k (35k max)

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Not any time soon...

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: win 7

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: none have 5 tb already.

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: no, already have Dell e2014, 1600x.......

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: monitor, hdd, DVD drive.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: 20 days at least.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: yes me myself

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Lucknow, local market is costly, open to online market.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: I prefer an AMD rig with MB compatible to AM3+ for future series of AMD CPU,

An 8 GB GB ram is preferred,

GPU though won't be high-end in this budget hence crossfire or sli is preferable.

Cabinet should be as cheap as possible (no gimmicks)

I wish to add I do not use any ups past 8 yrs and wanna know if a UPS would be necessary, if yes then chose the one with no sound or minimal sound and also the cheapest one, I do Not use any printer or sound theater.

Most important part my pc is always running 24x7 except for outage part as I tend to download a lot. I really mean a LOT......

Since you want an AMD based rig here's what I'd suggest -
CPU - AMD FX6300 - 7000
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 - 4500
RAM - Corsair 2x4GB DDR3 1600 MHz - 4200
PSU - Antec VP450P - 2400
GPU - Zotac GTX 960 2GB - 16200
Case - Desi - 800
Total - ~34300

All prices have been sourced from snapdeal. They have a 7% discount running on PC components. Also, if you have a Yes Bank account you'll get an additional 10% cashback.

Alternatively, you might want to consider a far more superior Intel rig for around 3k more -
Intel Core i5 4440 - 11000
Gigabyte H81M-S1 - 3500

what is the reason behind 2 - 4GB ram rather than 1 stick.

What about UPS?

is Intel Core i5 4440 far more superior than AMD FX6300 although AMD FX 8320 is of same price....

2 sticks for dual channel memory. You can also go with 1x8GB configuration if you're planning to go 16GB in the future. There's negligible real world difference between the two anyway.

i5-4440 is a far superior and more efficient processor than the entire AMD FX series. Check this out - AnandTech | Bench - CPU

An i5-4440 should be around the same performance level of an i5 3470.

A UPS is necessary if there are frequent power cuts. Go with a minimum of CyberPower 1000VA UPS but that'll cost you around 4.4k more.

well thanks for your promptness.

BTW i do not have frequent powercuts just couple of times in a week

does the AMD config future proof, i mean i can upgrade cpu and also add another gpu throush sli!

No problem :)

These AMD FX CPUs have been around since the end of 2012. They WERE future proof then. Not now. AMD's future lies in APUs. That is not to say that the FX series aren't capable processors. They are. However, the FX6300 is significantly below the Intel configuration. In that sense, the Intel build will last you longer than the AMD will.

Both of them will serve your gaming purpose. You just have to derive your own satisfaction level from the money you spend and the performance you get in return :)

Even if you have those, I'd suggest you get one. If you are strictly limited to 35k, I can help revise the suggested configuration.

AMD Config is at its end of life(EOL) as New AMD Series ie. Zen CPU will debut in 2016 in a new chipset not AM3+. So its better to go with Intel Config but your budget does not fit so AMD is the only way to go for now unless you increase your budget by another 10k or so. Going SLI way is way too costly as that requires a SLI Motherboard which costs 10k+ so its better to stick with powerful single GPU like GTX 970 or even weaker GPU like GTX 960.

Even with AMD Config you need to extend your budget by another 5k.

AMD Config

AMD FX 6300 -8000,
Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 - 4700,
Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB 1866Mhz CL10 -4400,
Antec VP450P -2500,
Inno3d GTX 960 2GB -16500,
Antec VSK 4000B U3 Cabinet -2300
TOTAL -38,400.

Intel Core i5 4440 -12900,

dpluvuall - There is no need for a branded PC case when your budget is tight. You can still get everything under 35k

PS - Put in the cart, 2 products at a time, Snapdeal has a weird bug where the total value does not reflect the discounted price.

n.

Does that mean these AMD CPU "AM3+" will be discontinued in couple of years.....
i mean then it wont be possible to change the latest CPU in the future as they will not be supported by the MB itself!!!
if yes then i should opt for intel config..... what you suggest as i have no such bais towards Intel or AMD, i just want it to be compatible in long run.

BTW

2kool2btrue was right. he did mentioned the current price of snapdeal after 7% discount.
And even the price shown to me are even lesser (approx 34122)
for CPU - AMD FX6300 - 6992
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 - 4348
RAM - Corsair 2x4GB DDR3 1600 MHz - 4209
PSU - Antec VP450P - 2369

Yes, AMD AM3+ chipset might become obsolete in a couple of years by which Zen chipset or its successor will replace it between 2016-18. So in the long run Intel Config is better & best in your regard.

They are equally the same in the long run as well.. The maximum you can do in the Intel config is to get a used i7-4th gen processor after a couple of years. DDR4 should be here and I don't think the 5th generation of CPUs are guaranteed to work on H81 motherboards. In any case, the intel build will help you sail smoother into the future but the AMD rig will also do the job just fine. If you can afford the intel PC, get that. If not, AMD is not bad either.

Al righty then i have decided to buy an intel setup.
so all the components will be same as AMD ecept i5 and the MB in initial post....
