I assume you are talking about the 6-pin PCI-E converter cable. It should be the splitter cable which you must have connected. The white part(molex connectors) are split into 2.These cable should be connected to any 2 free power connectors on your PSU.I had got the exact same doubt which I got clarified from TE forums. What's the brand of your PSU? Doesn't it have a 6-pin PCI-E connector? Make sure you check & see if it had enough power to run this card.;)

true. to run that card , u'll need atleast a cooler master 600W , and these psu's come with a 6 pin pcie connector ( the black one that u're suppose to connect to the g-card ). . so no need for converter. . .only if u're psu doesnt have a 6 pin pcie connector , then u'll need to use the converter. . what psu do u have ?

thank you for answers. yes i have zebronics 400W SMPS and i had just plugged the

one white connector to PSU power supply. i was in dilema that i have to connect the

both or just only one.

i have plugged the black part onto the g-card ( Gigabyte turboforce NX88HP something.

so i guess i will have to upgrade to 600W smps.

Guys is the VIP SMPS good ones?

Also the molex connectors from my PSU have 4 wires to it and the g-card has three cables

to it. is that any different?

If possible please upload the picture of 8800GT connected to pc with power supply.

let me guess: you have the Zeberonics 400W PSU that you got most sarcastically indeed with the Zeberonics Gaming Cabinets series ? Its not at all enough, and zeberonics should get their a$$ kicked for providing such a low power Power Supply on a cabinet designed for gaming.

VIP SMPS is good(so is VIP underwear). Get a 600 watt PSU to enable running an 8800GT card.

Just as I thought. Before you end up frying your new card it's better to get a good rated PSU.Like other's recommended,a Coolermaster Extreme 600W would be more than enough to handle this card.Don't even think of risking it with the default 400W Zebronics PSU.Heck I didn't risk my 7900GT with it & went ahead with a Powersafe 500W instead.Get the PSU upgraded & it would have a direct 6-pin PCI-E connector which will directly go from the PSU to you card's slot.No need of that converter.;)
