CX500 is not good, but CX500V2 is good. Although it will under power 6850. You need at least 600Watt PSU and GS600 is the cheapest.

D6mg, for running a HD 6850, the recommended PSU is a good 450W PSU and CX500 V2 can handle it very effectively without any issues. I've suggested the 600W PSU for a futureproof solution so that if anything needs to be added future, power supply shouldn't be an issue.

The alternatives are:-
1. Corsair CX 500 V2 80+ @3K (Make sure it is the V2 model)
2. Tagan Stonerock TG-500 80+ bronze @ 3.1K

extreme.outervision said 445Watt at peak. Assuming that OP have some extra devices to connect to the rig (occasionally), we may need ~480Watt. Considering the efficiency of CX500V2, I suggested gs600.
