I am using motherboard having 24 pin power connector & PCI-e Solt but without graphic card.

2 months before my PSU starts malfunctioning so i replaced it with my older PSU which is 7 Year old & has only 20 pin power connector (I heard somewhere that additional 4pin are used for pci-e gfx card) , & now pc is working fine.

I just want know that is this safe ? or it will damage my motherboard, i am going to install new gfx card & PSU next week.

I am going to replace my older PSU in next week with new one 24Pin PSU & also adding new gfx card.

what i want to know is my mobo in a good condition ? or there is already some damage done in PCI-e section which run on that extra 4 pin power supply, because i am using it with 20 pin psu for more than 2-3 months.

It is very important to know this before buying gfx card
