Is it possible that more than one device have same ip address in a network
(lan)?
last day at my office incidentally i turned on wifi of my samsung galaxy note and
as i saw the wifi signals of the local network popping up. i just configured it
exactly as my desktop pc is... but there was no provision to give subnet mask (i
entered all otherr values vz proxy id and port, ip & default gateway). It got
connected. i wondered how it happened as i had a notion till then that no two
ip in a network can be unique.... but there was a problem... i could not go to
sites without a domain name (say: 10.x.x.xx) but was able to surf sites with a
domain name (say: mycompanyweb.org)... is this because of the subnet mask being avoided?
