Hi guys

I am planning to buy a 19" or 21" monitor. Mainly for gaming and a little CAD CAM. The geometry of the monitor has to ge good. I have a budget of under 20K (Mumbai / Pune). I heard that the Philips 19" monitors are good. But i dont know the exact model number.

The monitor must atleast support 1600X1200 at 75Hz+. 85 wud be nice.(Must be flat too :D )

Thanks in advance :)

the samsung syncmaster 997df has a lot of problems with internal refections and very bad geometry. not gud for cad cam at all :(

ps : 21 nad 22 inch monitors are also available..no idea abt the prices but..last i heard abt a year back they were 30k onwards.

Rosewill lcdmonitor is good which im using it right now so far i found out this monitor is the best out of all three other lcd monitors I used. It works amazing it has no screen ghosting during game play and movie play.
Basicly cheap.
But i had a video card that let me go up to 1900X(don't remember the other resolution power) But this as far im concern is a great monitor check out other comments from the link below here.

you can't use a TV as a monitor, because TVs have very bad resolutions. But you can use a monitor as a TV

There's another Viewsonic options as well. The model no. is E90F+SB which has a maximum resolution of 1792 x 1344(@61Hz) and a Max refresh rate of 106Hz.It is priced at 12k and if price is not an issue then you can consider the above suggested one.:D

Going for 21" Monitor??
I think the time n tech is yet to come, 17" to 19 is okay

21-22 inch now out of budget. also they have their own uses for gaming and/or office work too. cant compare a 21"Tv to a 21"monitor. 21" monitors r gud too but not that fast moving..so very very pricy still :(

me going for wat techguru said..the Viewsonic P97f+SB.. kick ass monitor
here r the specs
