Hi I have a 10GB seagate HDD my prob is that whenever i try to make partitions on it I can't format it due to Bad Sectors I tried Seagate's Low Level format & Zero Fill utilities but it fails Do this HDD is dead or I can use it anyway using any other s/w? It still detects 10Gb on my PC

My system told me on startup that i had bad sectors on my hard disk... What are bad sectors? How can i determine the extent of the bad sectors i have on my disk? Is the data on my system at risk? Are there any tools available which i can use to repair the bad sectors? Thank u

have got bad sectors on drive c of my hard disk. i tried quick format on the drive but the bad sectors are still there. then tried a full format but it just stops in the middle. what do i do now . is there a way out plz tell in detail.
