You could go pretty much anywhere. Though I'd personally only go for startups these days since there is a huge demand in the startup space and you can get promoted quickly depending on the team size.

Got a decent offer. In less than 10 years my salary had gone 10 x (average starting salary ).
I took 6.5 years to complete 4 years engineering degree.. still able to get to some decent stage. Don't give up is the Mantra i tell to myself in case of any insecurity.

A bit out of topic, How do you go about asking for referrals in Good tech companies? Especially for Intern applications. Cold messages seem to get ignored here at least in India.

Technically, I'd suggest going through the T&P department if your college. Generally, companies have a tie-up with certain colleges for taking interns. So, if your college has such a program, then those companies will take some candidates from your college.

Not all companies take interns, so it's difficult to find out who would be.
