    Motherboard + CPU + RAM on a 10K budget!

    Guys I have decided to go with the following config. Motherboard : GA-H81M-S1 / GA-H81M-S CPU : G3240 / G3220 RAM : Corsair Vengeance 4 GB DDR3 @ 1600 MHz PSU : Antec BP450P / Antec VP450P / Corsair VS450 / Corsair VS350 Now I have a couple of question. 1. There is no difference between the...

PC wont boot plus indefinite restart cycle

As I have already mentioned, as soon as I power on the mains, the PC starts. I mean I have directly connected it to the mains, bypassing the UPS. Either way, after starting momentarily, its goes into an indefinite restart cycle.

My rig keeps incessantly restarting at startup

First things first. Check if the PSU is fine. Unplug the PSU, connect the green wire with any of the neighboring back(gound) wire, using a wire, or any metallic paper clip. With a load attached to the PSU (typically your 12mm cabinet fan), power on your PSU. If the PSU starts, and the load...

    Motherboard + CPU + RAM on a 10K budget!

    1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.') Ans: Mainly for numerics, browsing the internet. 2. What is your...

So here's my config : Motherboard: Intel DG33FB Processor: Intel E8400 Today., when I tried to switch on my PC the following happened. First, when I just switch on my UPS, the PC starts automatically, with the heat sink fan and the cabinet exhaust fan switching on for 2 secs, and then...

Assembling CPU for the first time, facing problems, help ASAP

RAM issue in general have 3 beeps, so you can be sure(IMO) it is not a RAM issue. Also please mention the model number of the motherboard that you are using. It is very hard to say what the beep means without the model number, as it varies with every model.

    New Pc

I would suggest to increase the budget a little bit and get a HD 7750 1 Gb GDDR5 GPU. This would run BF3 @ 35 FPS in ultra settings at 1600 x 900 resolution.

    Battlefield 3

Yup, the PSU should not be the problem as because the game is running in cascade mode but not in full screen mode. The 75 Mhz refresh rate was the issue. Your monitor has a 60 Mhz refresh rate and anything more than that is a problem.

    GPU under 5.5k.

From where are you quoting this price?

    / /var /home

Just Google about the GNU/Linux file partitioning system. And as far as your question, krishnandu.sarkar is right, / 15GB which is the root(hold all the OS files), /home 20GB(like the Documents and Settings under Windows, the more data you want to store the more space you want to give), and...

    GPU under 4k

Getting a 2 GB RAM stick is a must, not only for gaming but for doing mundane tasks at ease IMO. Also what PSU/SMPS are you running? I am assuming you are running an el-cheapo PSU/SMPS. If so, extend your budget by 3.1K and get an HD 7750. It is worth the investment, and will play all the...

Sub 6K GPU for gaming at medium resolution

Thanks for all the suggestions and I am finally getting the HD 7750, after my examinations get over, in about 3 weeks.
