Unable to login XP -need help

Hi!
yesterday I work on my pc and it work all fine then I shut down. but when today I login again, it unable to login. when I enter password and hit on enter it shows login and suddenly it automatically logout and back to login screen. I also tryto login with admin & guest, safe mood but result same.
I have XP in dual boot & IInd XP, which I used occasionally is working fine.
plz help me to login my Ist XP which have all soft & settings, asap...

y u need two XP....

if u prefer dual boot then install different OSes.....

as 4 ur problem "a virus or a system file conflict"

pls give more details regarding ur problem....i.e wat softs u installed before this incident

no software install/unist. my antivirus avast is updated daily by net automatically. MY both XP working properly since last 2 years. & reason for both XP is to work in emergency as now I'm using it.

First learn to be kind...
1) Two Win XP OSes in dual Boot is as stupid as it can be
2) You have not provided enough information

hmm...u could've asked the problem in proper way rather than being rude.
Anyways, u can try repairing the XP using the Boot Disc. And when u are in the recovery console, try repairing the damaged SAM file.You can replace the SAM database with a backup one which is stored in the System Volume Information folder. Or, simply boot using Live Linux Disc and backup the necessary data then format!
Though, i still think that Booting into the SAFE MODE should have helped.

hi... even i think either repairing XP or formating the hdd is good soluiton.. as u mentiond that u havent been able to login properly even in safe mood..!
