I missed it for 15k and now it is selling around 17k. The problem is that I have 52k for mobile and now the more expensive tab i buy the lesser amount i have for buying the phone. Got to wait a bit more I guess. Is fonepad expected to be getting 5.0?

How nexus go dead ??
Did you broke it?

Short circuit in the tab resulted in mobo and other part failure. Service center is charging 8k for all that and I am not giving this much amount for 3 year old tab.

I have a Nexus 7 (2012) for over a year, have dropped it like 10 times (my son thinks it's his toy to throw around), had to open it up myself to reconnect the battery connector when it went dead a few times but it still works fine otherwise. :)

who said it is not reliable? I am saying it malfunction is a cause of short circuit which also destroyed many running equipments

Oooh man do not ask about dropping. It drops at a rate of 3 times a month from my bag when i took my books out of my bag. Never even stopped working but now it is gone.

I have Nexus 7 (2012) for a year too. It's my own toy but I don't throw it around like that. :p
It's still running smooth and rocking. So you don't get afraid of getting your hands dirty eh? Nice to know that. :doublethumb:

I'm waiting for the Nexus 7 to hit the 15k mark as well, I was getting it at 15k a few weeks back in Flipkart ( 5% off on Mobile app plus Rs 150 off ) but had to postpone as I had to travel. Now the price is 18k.

Nexus 9 release will surely lower Nexus 7 prices, i hpe.

Get the Dell Venue 8

New Dell Venue 8 - Tablets from Dell

Has an FHD display and a kickass chipset, the details mentioned on the website about the chipset are incorrect

Intel Atom Z3480 SoC - NotebookCheck.net Tech

No tablet, inclusing the Nexus 7 will offer better specs than this in sub 20 range

I thought that there were two variants of it. One with fhd and one without it.

dont get dell over the nexus 7 or fonepad 7
dell rarely releases updates and getting spares/custom roms etc arent that easy
i think wait for nexus 7 price drop only or you may even check out ipad mini 1 if you like

Yes there are, the FHD variant costs a few hundred Rs more than the HD variant. The intel chip has a good CPU and a monster GPU, superb value for money if you ask me.

If your nexus 7 goes dead due to battery being completely drained out, there is a good chance it won't start / charge even if you keep it on wall charger for 24 Hours. I have faced this.
In such cases, keep the nexus 7 connected to laptop / computer for an hour or so and then start the tablet, it would come back to life and then use wall charger to properly charge it.
May not be applicable for your scenario but mentioned just in case if someone faces issue in bring nexus 7 back to life after being shut off due to battery empty.
