I want to buy Nokia Lumia 520 but I'm confused with 525, as the only difference is better RAM in 525 (1gb) but the price difference is 1700 (as per flipkart). So is it worth paying 1700 more. I'm going to use it for next 2-3 years and I will use it for regular use, nothing fancy. Please help me out. Thank you.

YES.......its worth paying the extra money.....will benefit you in the long run if you are gamer and you use the phone very intensively. Other wise it hardly makes a difference. windows 8/8.1 will run butter smooth even on 512 MB RAM

You can also check on Xolo WIN 900s!

The Xolo WIN 900s weighs just 100gs, which makes it the lightest Windows Phone product ever made. It has a 4.7 inch display with a 1280x720 resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor running at 1.2 GHz, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It also has an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a front facing 2 megapixel camera.

see if your into gaming , 512mb should suffice but paying the extra bit and getting the 525 is a better option
i myself have a 720 and an 820

the xolo is a great phone but has poor after sales
520/525 has a slighly lacklustre display in comparison to the xolo but its still better to get a lumia

+1 to Lumia 525, also are you considering any android phone in this budget?
I considered Moto E but bcoz of its higher SAR values I'm avoiding it and also the after sale service is not so good. (as per the review of flipkart customers)

I like to play games like angry birds and temple run and also surf youtube occasionally.

No,Don't get Zenphone 4 get zenphone 5.

Why not zenphone 4?

- - - Updated - - -

Guys, I changed my mind. Now I'm thinking abt zenphone 4, nokia lumia520 and zenphone 4? Plz i need ur help.

My 1st confusion is regarding the after sales service of motorola and asus, are they good enough? Although Nokia is not like saint or something but it still has some service point in cities. Should i expect any after sales service from this companies?

2nd what abt the SAR values, the moto e has the highest of 1.5, where as lumia is 1 and zenphone is .72 or something like that. As I previously stated that i liked moto e bcoz of android, 1gb ram and everything but bcoz of high SAR values i ruled it out. should i consider this SAR values or should i overlook it. Although i heard the benchmark for all the companies SAR value is 2. as i sleep with my phone, will it be harmful?

3rd, I like Nokia for its sturdiness, battery back-up and everything. I drop my phone occasionally but i never hampered the opertion of Nokia although i had seen people changing phones after few rough use, bcoz its stop working properly, like HTC and Motorola (earlier V3 and Rocker phones) and LG cookie. Should i stick to lumia 520 for durability and battery back-up. Can i expect that it wouldbe better than moto e and zenphone 4?

4th Android has better apps than lumia. How much i should consider this apps facility. As i know good games and apps are developed equally for ios, android, nokia and blackberry. Like i can play temple run and angry birds or cricket i suppose in nokia and i will get whatsapp, facebook and instagram also. I will get office in moto e also. so whats the difference?
Ana last but not the least, i change my phone in 2-3 years, so i don't want to get overboard with some pricey product. So plz guys help me. Thank you.

5th the battery is changeable in nokia like earlier nokia phones, can i do that with moto e and zenphone also? whose battery back-up is better?

Because Zenphone 5 has better front and back camera,Screen resolution is better and has bigger battery.

I can say motorola provide decent after sale service I must say you will not face any problem in android unless you root your phone try software other than from playstore.Asus too has plenty of service centers due to their laptops.

Though moto E has larger SAR rating but they mention it is within permissible limit with Indian government so no issue.

Both Moto E and Zenphone 5 are well build can't say same due to low price of zenphone 4.Moto E battery backup is pretty good 2 days for me with light usage and screen on time of 8 hrs Zenphone 5 will too will have same battery backup due to marginally better battery than moto E.

There are more apps in android even though most of the apps are available in windows too but same can't be said with no. of games even windows doesn't support mkv natively which can be solved by buying moli player but in android you are getting it free.

Yes there are free office apps in android.

Battery is not user replaceable with both moto E and zenphone 5 but you can forcefully restart you phone by pressing power button for 10sec.

Why not zenphone 4?

Simply because the Zenfone 5 offers more VFM

Sorry, I really don't have much info on that. Now though Asus has been around for far longer than Motorola and because its products are routinely sold and serviced since long, I believe Asus is the better choice. My personal experience is that just a few days back when I contacted Asus via mail for info on Zenfone service centers, I did not receive any reply. Mumbai has it the worst. So, I didn't recommend Zenfone to anyone. Do note that its just the Zenfone though which is a new product line because they have already been top players in the Tablet wars. Some of the best tablets have been known to come out from the Asus camp. So, I think Asus is a safer bet than Lenovo owned Motorola

India has maximum limit of SAR 1.1 and AFAIK most phones fall under that. I don't know about Moto E. This is your personal choice to consider because I've yet to come across a report that claims SAR values messes up our bodies.

It seems you are confused between many parameters. I'd suggest you prioritize. What is more important to you ? Then make a list and check or strike out accordingly. No phone would be perfect.

2-3 years is a pretty average time frame. Buy either the Zenfone 4 or Moto E if going android and Lumia if you do not require a large app tray. Also, between the Lumia 520 and Lumia 525 I'd still suggest the Lumia 525 if you want to play newer games but if that doesn't bother you in the least and you play just casual games then get the Lumia 520, save the cash, instead buy a good screen guard or back cover or maybe, get a good budget IEM with that surplus.

5th the battery is changeable in nokia like earlier nokia phones, can i do that with moto e and zenphone also? whose battery back-up is better?

Moto E comes with a sealed battery and maybe, the Zenfone too follows the same approach. Removable batteries shouldn't bother you unless you plan to stay longer than 2-3 years with the phone

Now i'm more confused. I guess i write-off zenphone as they are new in the market.
So it is between Moto E and Lumia 520?

Moto E - PROS
> 1gb RAM
> Android apps

CONS
>poor after sales service
>high SAR values

LUMIA 520 - PROS
> better after sales service
> good camera
> less SAR values

CONS
> less apps
> less RAM

I like 1gb ram phone so moto e, plus android with all the apps.
But lumia 520 has less SAR values, better battery back-up and after sale service. (Although i guess i can get the after sale service from local mobile phone mechanic as all the touch screen phones are more or less same.)
So what do guys say, which one should i go for? Moto E or Lumia 520? PLZ HELP.

Moto E has better battery backup than lumia 520 You will have to charge your lumia 520 almost daily which is irritating I don't care much about SAR value,Moto E camera can too take decent shots. If i were you i would go with Moto E.

I am currently using Moto E and quiet satisfied with it.

Make a thread for an android phone, the title is very conflicting with the discussion. Since the OP has also joined in derailing this, I have no choice but to close this down.
