Option 1:

i3 3220 (7500)
Gigabyte B75M DH3 (4500)
Kingston HyperX Blu 1600 MHz 4 GB (2300)

total: 14000

Option 2:

Intel G2020 (3500)
Gigabyte B75M DH3 (4500)
Kingston HyperX Blu 1600 MHz 4 GB (2300)

total: 10300

I recommend option 1 :)

G2020 has igpu Hd 2000 which can handle 1080p videos easily.

There is no alternative amd config for your budget.

though G2020 can handle it is better to get a quad core like AMD FX6300 for some possible high bit rate 10-bit h264 video clips in future as they put more load on processor compared to conventional 8-bit h264/AVC videos though it means ~2k extra compared to i3 setup above.if that is not possible then get i3 setup.

Even my credit card sized, 3k RaspberryPi model 'B' handles 1080p FHD video smoothly. No problem at all. It will be the lowest price solution for 1080p video.

^^not entirely correct.i remember someone asking in this forum for a similar 1080p playback configuration & he clearly mentioned that a particular video clip was not played smoothly by raspberry pi.i know some 10bit h264 clips that can utilize ~60% on a core i3 system & these clips will definitely not play on rapsberry pi though currently such clips are rare.

GT 610 can easily decode simultaneous 20 streams or more of 1080p video. Go with Pentium solution and donate that overkill of PSU. :D
