^^ Battlefield 3 was a visual masterpiece no doubt, but it didn't had any memorable moments from a story perspective.
It was just a shooter. COD MW4 inclusion is obvious only because of that level and it had blew me back then. The level of tension in that mission(all ghillied up) was scintillating.

There are quite.a few moments I havren‘t experienced myself so can‘t really comment much.
rigged.. there is not Battlefield 3 :p :D
Story wise Battlefield franchise doesn‘t have a chance infront of COD although BF games are without doubt better to play.

The point is, no matter how many times you play the cod, its still the same experience, scintillating or not. But the possibilities in battlefield 3 multiplayer are so many, that the scripted scenes from cod look so puny. You'll have to be someone who played the BF3 MP to know the difference, particularly when you are with a buddy.

btw, the site is pretty lame, they make these kinda articles all the time.

The context is strictly constrained to a single player campaign. Multiplayer is completely out of the equation here. Memorable moments are present in the story, not in ones personal experience against friends. COD MW1 has that which BF3 lacks. You won't find a level like "All Ghillied up" in most war based shooters.

BF3's story was lame but gameplay is phenomenal which translates into a better multiplayer experience undoubtedly. Coz of story, it didn't find its place in the above list.
That was the whole point.

eih? the article doesn't state any context in the article, and just because the list has SP experiences only doesn't mean multiplayer is out of context. Memorable moments are present everywhere, not just single player, that's all wrong thinking.

Nope it isn't. The article doesn't have to point this out. If you have time, care to go through all 10 of them and you'll know what the article is about.
Multiplayer memorable moments differs from player to player as it happens in real time while gaming ,for example you pull off a double headshot or something difficult to achieve and praise yourself or maybe get praised by teammates or others. That's memorable for you or a current player and it differs from player to player. My experiences will differ from yours in a multiplayer game.

But in SP campaigns as mentioned in that article, you define memorable moments as part of the story which is constant and that particular moment is cherished by everybody who play that game. It does not differ from person to person. I hope you get the whole point now.

Lol, you're nitpicking too much, let me try that..FPS scripted scenes are the only memorable moments in the gaming because of the first person view, its more immersive and awesome, and the third person scripted scenes, cut scenes, or cinematics are not memorable at all...seriously? :| :|

If the article had mentioned one multiplayer game, you wouldn't have said all that :p

and let me rephrase this..
Every generation of gaming creates its own blend of unique experiences that burrow their way into our heads forever. We’re exposed to moments that bring tears to our eyes, anger in our hearts, and even make us mourn the loss of our favorite characters. Moments in gaming where our jaws drop in astonishment, and we realize that what we’re playing is something truly special.

or may be the title is just wrong, should have been top 10 single player moments of gaming.

and tbh, the multiplayer experiences in games like Battlefield, halo, and most of the larger maps based games are far more memorable than the single player games, and if you disagree to that, you simply haven't been on the multiplayer side ;)

Well honestly i haven't been on the multiplayer side that much. Counter strike was the last title back in college days. ;)
But yeah i've heard how awesome are some multiplayer games and how much they offer in terms of replayability. FPS titles by default concentrate on multiplayer but now TPS action adventure titles are catching up.

But i prefer single player just because of the plot and script. Gameplay matters too but a good story has always been my cup of tea.
I don't disagree with you but i guess the site was spot on to point some great moments in single player campaign. That dead space 2 eye popper was definitely memorable for me and pretty difficult to pull off with my substandard mouse.

I know about halo multiplayer and it had phenomenal success worldwide. But i always preferred the single player side and the plot of combat evolved was damn good.
Its a pity that after halo 2, none of them made it to the pc.

You should give them a try, you definitely won't go back if you did :p
