Which one should i go for 9k?
I need better display and graphics?
And is it better to go for Karbon or Micromax rather than sony?
BTW my preferred set is Xperia Mini :)

Xperia Mini is way too old and Tipo's screen is way too small. Better go for Micromax as it has a lot of great phones in the under 10k bracket.

Got Tipo Dual for 9.5k from saholic.com one month ago. It's sturdy and robust lookwise. Enough of internal storage. Camera is ordinary. The audio is awesome. Battery and WiFi are good. Overall very good entry level android device. Satisfied with the product.

Mini Pro if you can find it
Also take a look at Huawei X5 .. it is available for 9K, has custom ROM support unlike indian phones

1st gen Xperia are discontinued and finding one won't be easy. But they had best hardware for the price.

Instead of Tipo, check Huawei G330 at 11k (flipkart). You get bigger display, more resolution, better processor, lot better camera quality.

+ 1 for Huawei ascend g330 @ 11k

If I'm not mistaken they are the 2nd largest telecommunication device manufacturer in world after ericsson.

The same chipset s4 play serves in htc desire x which retails for 17k .

+1 For Ascend G330, too.
But if you gotta keep your budget look at this : Huawei Ideos X5 Pro Grab it quick while the cashback lasts, you'll get a phone that's miles better than tipo at 2k less!! The phone has decent dev support, too. CM10 and everything released for it already on xda.

^ Yup a really good deal, for 8K , you get Snapdragon S2.. Good screen, good camera and most important developer support..
You can OC the cpu to 2.0 ghz since its the same snapdragon s2 as in neo v

Well, when it comes to telecom equipments, Huawei is World's No. 1 surpassing Ericsson quite recently. Yet people have their likings for their favorite conventional brands. The best Android touch phones come from Samsung and hTc. That could be my personal opinion. I found hTc's Explorer an awesome option for the entry level user, the satisfaction I drew from it using Android 2.3 was way ahead than Tipo's ICS. The only drawback Explorer has is its internal memory, which is too little. Check hTc as well if they have got something below 10k right now. Explorer should be strong no, because of its pathetic memory. Micromax generally has lesser resolutions which makes even five inch displays look dull and smaller.
