Just received Verbatim DVD-R 50 spindle (Made in India) from flipkart. The media code of these is MCC03RG20, which is the exactly the same that I have on some 5 year old Writex DVD-R's. Does it mean that the Writex Dvd's are a par with Verbatim in terms of quality??

printed price is 287/-. but i used a 100/- discount coupon that i got for refilling vodafone from their site. (now they are giving away 50/- coupon). so, the price came down to 187/-

verbatim sells made in india discs. and about that code you talk about, they may have been produced in same factory, but, probably they have had different quality standards and recipe.

Do Verbatim Discs manufactured in India are of good quality? I remember someone saying the ones made in Taiwan are of good quality. I bought Dual Layer DVD of Verbatim recently which costed me around Rs 40 for each disc. Is it worth the price. It's really tough getting Dual Layer DVD's in market especially loose. The only one I found in the local computer market was National Dual DVD Layer which I think costed around Rs 20 each. But again it was again 200 pack.Any suggestions will be appreciated.
