I'm passionate about Photography. Till now, its only me & myself who has been doing all the photography alone, reading articles on photography & enriching my knowledge on my own. But as you know it can get very tiring for a lone person to go out & click. So I would like to invite you all to join me. Anyone & everyone who loves photography is welcome. We will be going out to shoot in & around Mumbai on Sundays preferably in the morning(Don't worry I won't wake you up at 6AM. It would be somewhat around 10PM). I think after we can get to know more about photography from the member experiences & also we can try out the same on the spot.

Camera's don't matter - Anyone having a mobile phone, Simple point & shoot, Prosumer, DSLR or even film roll camera is welcome. The idea has been welcomed by a handful of members on orkut & some of my friends. I'm thinking to start the weekend shoots the coming Sunday itself.

So Mumbaiikars & Shutterbugs here on Digit Forum, please let me know your views.

^Hey Cool G5... have a loose group... bunch of Photographers. We usually head out on a trek but we've gone to Nehru Science Centre one time. Bunch of uncles - cancel that - working people mostly, so the schedules are a little haywire, and the plans are confirmed on Saturday night if we are going on Sunday, but I'll let you know the next time we go somewhere. If you plan something, I am game - and I'll pass on the word to them if they are interested in joining us - that is if you are ok with that. Know a great location or something, will come. Anyone else from Mumbai interested in joining in?

And btw, this is the Digit forum :p

@Stuge: Delhi has a regular group of weekend photographers, there is a Yahoo! group called Creativegarh where the meet-ups are organized, so just sign up for that. Also, if you post in that group, chances are you will get a lot of like-minded people to come along.

@Anorion - Yeah, I was a bit skeptical about posting it here but then went ahead with it. If anything wrong, you can delete the thread.

I'm planning to start small & then gradually up the ante based upon the response. I don't mind joining you. Why not ask your group to join us(Not many members as of now) this coming sunday? Also can't come somewhere far away as reaching home before 3PM in the afternoon will be difficult. Any young member in the group Anorion? Or else it would mean I'm the only one lone teenager among group of uncles -cancel that - working people

So Mumbaiikars & Shutterbugs here on Chip Forum, please let me know your views.

That's why I pointed it out at all... please don't be skeptical, it's perfectly OK to post such threads. No... the youngest in their group apart from me is 27-ish. Age is a sensitive issue there  so haven't really asked. Where are you planning to go? Will give em a call. And I'm sure there are more shutterbugs in Mumbai here.

We haven't thought of any place as of yet. Still I need to contact many people who might be interested in joining in. I can just tell you it won't be far away as getting back home early will be a problem.

Count me in Cool G5, but exams running so can't give ya this Sunday mostly. Although I am skeptical about the idea of groups above 4-6 people. Won't it be a crowd? I don't mind if it is Team Digit though.

Ok. No problem. You can join after your exams.
I am not expecting a big crowd now but it may grow in future. Its better to start slow. There is already a group by name "Mumbai Weekend Shoot" on Flickr who go out on weekend but those guys go to far away places which is not possible for me to join. So I thought why not make a small group ourself. I think @rhitwick from Digit Forum would also be interested to join us. When are your exams going to end pranay?

My exams are ending on the 9th, but we have a viva for the subject for which I made the mag. :) It has not been announced by the great University and we have loads of age old printing techniques and what not for the viva which we weren't taught and have no clue about. Maybe I'll join in, but that is relative to my progress with the dull matter I gotta take care of. :(

Good news however is that rhitwick is back! He was away for some days AFAIK. :)

Ok. Good Luck :)
If possible do join in as it won't be a lengthy session being our very first one. It won't be for more 3-4 hours.

I'm game. I think you might be on a vacation for the whole week? Let's organise a Mumbai meetup alongwith a weekend photography session. :D
What do you say? Offcourse both will be on different days. Its been long we had a Mumbai meetup.

Deal. I think that the Mumbai meetup might also turnout to be something of a photography session. :D

I'm game too. Our viva got postponed to end of the month. :) Yesterday, we went to Bhivpuri road (close to Karjat) and had an exhausting trek and bath in a mini waterfall. Photography took something of a backseat, due to exhaustion. But, nonetheless, managed to click some pics. Uploading as I type. :)

That's great. :)
Let's contact the other Mumbaiikars here.
You have any friends passionate about photography? Feel free to come alongwith them.

I'll mostly end up alone as really, most of my friends are not that much into photography, unless you count taking pics of themselves in many poses and various smiles. ;)
