problem with bsnl modem

I connect internet using USB cable instead of ethernet. All of a sudden my USB link in modem has stopped glowing and i'm unable to connect to internet.. But if in connect the usb cable in my laptop, the usb link is perfectly glowing and i can connect to internet.. But all my usb slots works perfectly when i connect pen drives.. So wats the problem..? Why is the usb link not glowing in my pc alone.?

FYI: my computer runs on xp and laptop on vista. Also i tried with my friends laptop running on xp. It works perfectly..

Check the modem drivers on your computer

Usually BSNL has problems yaar....even i have one problem...when i try to connect.. DSL automatically blinks and i cannot browse.....

File a complaint in bsnl office in your area. They'll send a technician to look up the problem. But first of all check your computer for virus or other problems.

And as suggested above try reinstalling the modem drivers from the cd u got wid it if u can else w8 4 da technician.

as i have already mentioned, i'm using windows xp.. i have checked the modem drivers. i did re install the modem drivers too. still same problem..!! help plz..
