Yamaha FZ-s rear tyre badly punctured.

Damn!!
My Yamaha FZ-s rear tyre got badly punctured today.
Somehow got a mechanic, after analyzing it we found that the nail has bent in L shape and punctured the side too.
Only option he said was to make it a tube tyre and in desperation I just did what he told.

Now it's there a major disadvantage of that.
What should I do.. Should I buy a new tyre.
How much will the stock rear tyre cost and from where can I get it in Bangalore??

Get a new tyre. I hope the showroom where you purchased will be able to arrange for one.
BTW, where did you drive?

In the main road (Old airport road). NO idea what such a big nail was doing.

Same thing happened to me. I had so many punctures that the rear tyre started looking like a sieve and I was out of ~Rs.1000 in getting it fixed again & again.
I was broke at the time so I made it into a tube-tyre. Slight loss of stability (in the beginning, but you get used to the new behaviour) is noticeable.
If you have the money, get a new tyre.

Bad tires = loss of stability while braking esp during rainy season.

Please in the name of safety change the tyre as soon as you can. Surely you value you life much more than this and with rains coming up please don't procrastinate.
