Don't Ad-aware guys have easy step for Transferring License??

Like they can disable that key for some time so that you can format your system and then you can register it again with that key........

Try to ask this thing from them.......

Once the Hardware Print is changed then you will have to e-mail this new "Print" to Ad-Aware guys (through customer support) and ask them for new Key. You will also need to let them know the original registration details so that they can recognize you as an authentic user. Without these details those guys are helpless.

Hardware print doesn't change on every install of any OS. :p

Eg. my LAN Card's MAC Address. Its not going to change forever (unless the chip inside it is changed). :p

Its foolish to say this.

I thought that too. I also use PocketDVD Wizard which too uses Hardware-Print method to activate. This Print changes only when some major "Hardware" changes are done to your computer. But these Ad-Aware guys, though they call it Hardware-Print, changes even when the "Software" is changed. Its strange but true.

I have faced such many Times, but in my case its the DMA which is culprit.
XP disables it , everythind is slower.

Following is the mechanism that has worked for me, please try it at your own risk, it involves modifying the registry:

1) Open RegEdit
Find the following KEY: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ Class\{4D36E96A-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\000x

The last four digits will be 0000, 0001, 0002, 0003, and so on.
Under each key, delete all occurences of the following values:

MasterIdDataChecksum
SlaveIdDataChecksum

Reboot the computer. Windows will now redetect DMA settings.

2) try other thing

clean windows\prefetch folder

and run bootvis , in that - tools -> optimize system

download bootvis: *drjimit.googlepages.com/bootvisdownload
