i recently installed SP2 on my xp .... now i am not able to install anyother program on it......... it says something like windows installer not working...................... what should i do... is there some way to reinstall windows installer....
(i have tried removing the SP2 also.. but it didnt work)
also small programs which do not use windows installer are being installed fine.....

Windows Installer has been updated to 3.1 Download the updated Installer patch from *www.microsoft.com/downloads/info.a...fc-5f56-4a38-b838-de776fd4138c&DisplayLang=en

if u cant download, use autopatcher and in the addons/components, u will find the 3.1 editon update of the installer...
Dont worry bout installing coz it is just an unzipper (autopatcher)
