i jus d/l ed nasa worldwind. it took 8 hrs to download on my slow 64kbps connection :x
when installed it said i need to d/l .NET and it installed.
ok, i d/l ed .NET
but when i click on dotnetfx it gives error. it says dotnetfx.exe is not a valid win32 application???
what to do? dotnetfx is currently d/l ed to my desktop. should i place it into windows directory or something???

edit: i searched google about this but didnt get solution. i 've downloaded this file 2 times and it gives me the same error again.

Tell us the source of ur .net installation, coz i think u jus got the exe, try installin .net from autopatcher in DIGIT or free ly without autopatcher in some months of digit ...

hi

the latest digit that i have is july 2003.
i downloaded it from microsoft's website. i got the link to it from worldwind forums.

edit: it worked....this time i downloaded thru flashget. i got amazing speeds!!!
( 800KBps ) and the download was over in half a minute...

Haha, most probably, falshget just downloaded some corrupt bytes and rest of them it got from the file on your hdd. That's why u got 800kBps.

work out calm. look for a fresh ibstallation of dotnetfx from a cd n dont dld it from links cos even if its a MS website there may be problem with data u r downloading as few bytes may get corrupted during downloads.

even if u hav a clean copy of the exe file,i think u might hav troubles ..nasa recommends a dsl/broadband connection for worldwind.... so with ur dial up ,it will take ages to download a single pic /map .
