I am working on a wordpress blog and if I enter the text C:\WINDOWS\system32\GroupPolicy\Adm it is shown as
C:WINDOWSsystem32GroupPolicyAdm

How to correct this?

well it works for me, i tried to post conent with the same path and it worked...

It is still the same problem. It does not work for me not on the online blog and not even on the blog at 127.0.0.1

no idea might be some installed plugin creating problem...

deactivate all the plugins and try

Hmm... Try putting \\ Double slashes ..

Thanks Deep for the excellent solution. I found that Textile 1.0 plugin causes \ not to be read. When I deactivated and reactivated plugins I found the reason for disappearing slashes.

And BTW double slashes did not solve the problem as the plugin does not allow reading of slashes.

I have submitted this bug at *www.textism.com/contact/
Hope they correct this bug.

yes i knew that textile would be the problem because it cannot get along with 1 more activated problem..

sometimes it ads extra
