Windows Media Player Classic... which comes with the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack...

And yes... occassionally, whenever the Classic fails to read any file... VLC Player comes to the rescue.

Yeah I like Media Player Classic.
Klite Codec Pack also got a BSPlayer which has an amazing feature of playing the video in the desktop background, and that too without using much system resources

I prefer to use Winamp even for videos. VLC is good but the interface sucks.
Winamp allows you to forward/rewind just by pressing the right/left arrow keys and increase/decrease the volume by pressing the up/down arrow keys. This feature is really important to me and only Winamp offers it. I use VLC only for filetypes that Winamp dosen't support.
