I wants to replace my existing motherboard, cpu and gfx card but don't want to reinstall windows. So how could it be done? Please give step by step procedure if possible. I am upgrading from intel to amd and from fx5200 agp to 6600gt pci-e. Thanks in advance. There are many method I found, when i searched the net. But I want to know from someone who has actually done it. The HDD is SEAGATE 80GB PATA. Thanks in advance.

Its not really advisable to undergo such a MAJOR hardware change without re-installing windows. Windows will crawl, and also the different drivers may conflict. If you really wanna go ahead, you dont have to do anything. Just change all the hardware and power up windows. It will automatically detect the new hardware. By the you are also switching from Intel to AMD. So i STRONGLY suggest you go with a clean format of your windows partition.

Reinstall to avoid bsods and other evil things. Try the 'Documents and Settings Transfer wizard' to save relevant settings for the new install of xp.

Or, you can just change the h/w, get into xp, uninstall all old uninstallable driver components, restart, install somw driver cleaner tool to remove previous mobo drivers, install the new drivers and restart.

^^^ You should probably uninstall old hardware, then shut down the system, then replace the hardware, restart the systema and finally install new drivers... However, do note that changing motherboard, processor, etc can result in windows asking you to reactivate... Backing up your old activation file will not help as it will contain the old hardware info...
