windows xp went out of network

hai guys

this is my problem. i have a network and it is based on workgroup. i have newly installed a broadband connection and the support guy have given a gateway address and dns address. now the real problem is that my xp system has gone out of the networkd and the windows 2000 professional system connected with the same gateway address is still connected with my lan and connects to the broadband . How to reconnect my xp system still with the gateway address so that i can be in lan and also connect internet through a router which is connected to my lan switch.

What is the ISP??

what u have to Do is... go to Network Connection and then Right Click on the available LAN Connection ICON... Select Properties... then on the TCP/IP properties...

here make sure the Getway and other IP settings are given as per ur ISP notification... a BSNL Broadband DataOne setting may look like this...
