Guys I Need Your Help. My windows XP Is not Loading. It Loads with the usual Black screen after that the welcome screen appears and then the desktop appears but in less than half of a second a blue screen appears and flashes out and then the system reboots and the same thing happens again and again. The blue screen had a lot written in it but it is too fast to read but still the first few words were WINDOWS CANNOT LOAD

Hey edit your post first and decrease character size.
BTW the blue screen u are getting is called BSoD i.e. Blue Screen of Death.
Just unplugged any new hardware you have installed. Also go to Safe Mode and uninstall any of the new software u have installed recently. Also check for any malware by a good antivirus software by running in safe mode. Tell the results here.

If this doesn't works then try to repair your windows by using Windows XP Setup Disk. Or install a fresh one.

Press F8 when your system boots. You will get the Windows XP boot selection screen. Select the option that says "Disable automatic restarts ....." and press Enter. Now when the BSOD comes, your computer will not restart. Note down the error and post it here. And please type in normal size.

Ive made some changes to this thread so that normal people don't go blind due to the large font. Please refrain from using extra big fonts especially for whole posts.

Anyway Id troubleshoot this by first making sure it happens in safe mode. If it does Id start removing components like network card , Display card, Memory etc and see if one of those are causing the problem. Also you could check the drivers of the various components as well but usually if its a driver issue there would have been no problem in safe mode.

I dont have a windows setup disk and actually it is my cousins pc and i couldn't go there to check what the error says. I think he has inserted a pen drive before the error showed up. Is there any use if i install any linux to it. Or can mandriva linux free recover it.

Goto C:\Windows\Minidump\ from mandriva live and copy the contents of the file and paste them here.
To see BSOD message properly, try this
1) Click on Start and then on Control Panel.
2) Navidate to Control Panel > System.
3) In the System Properties window click on the Advanced tab.
4) In the section ‘Startup and Recovery’, click on the Settings button.
5) In the section ‘System failure’, remove the check from ‘Automatically restart’.
6) Click OK, and exit.

Or can mandriva linux free recover it.
No, all u can do is backup the data with a linux livecd into some other drive or external hdd. Tell your cousin to clean up his pc(dust in cpu fan). Might be a CPU overheating prob. Get a blower and clean all the mess out.

I fixed it yesterday. Just copied the important setup files of some softwares to another drive using safe mode and formatted the drove re-installed windows. And i didn't install windows xp as i didn't get its setup disk but one of my cousins friend had a windows diamond setup disk and i installed it. Is windows diamond a os in the actual windows series. is it safe for me too to install it

Windows XP Diamond Edition is modified version of Windows XP. It is modified using nLite and other tools to add some features such as drivers and softwares to default windows xp setup. It is not genuine windows. It is safe indeed if the iso you downloaded and installed was not malicous.
