System, after BIOS screen bootup shows the following message:
An operating system wasn't found. Try disconnecting any drivers that don't contain an operating system.
System configuration:
Current operating system : Windows 8
RAM 8GB
CPU Intel i5
Motherboard : Gigabte B75M-D3H (UEFI DualBios)
Hard disk : Western Digital WDC WD10EZEX-0 1TB
I have tried connecting and disconnecting the peripherals but to no effect.
A new windows 8 bootable dvd takes ages to load.
Also tried the Ubuntu 11.04 DVD, but that shows unavilability of some medium.
I would not mind installing a new OS on to the HDD, but replacing it would mean loss of loads of data.
Please help.
