whenever i start playing files on winamp i get a message winamp has performed an illegal opperation due to gen_ml.dll some thing like this i m stuck with windows media plyer what should i do[/i]

Have you tried reinstalling WinAmp? If not, reinstall it, and check for the errors.
If you still get the error, do this, Open WinAmp, right click on it, and select Options> Preferences, and here click General Purpose under Plug-ins section, and here click Nullsoft WinAmp Library and click Uninstall selected plug-in.

as swatkat said try uninstalling the winamp then relaod it
if u have 5.08 then chose anyother ver as i had many prob with it
