Win2k server hangs on 'loading personal settings'

Our win2k server hangs on loading personal settings and could not start.I have 200 machines connected to that server.What to do?Help.

Did you install any software/hardware recently? Since when did this started to happen? Are you able to login if you wait for really long time?

see if the same happens in safe mode... looks like profile corruption... try creating a new admin user and login with that one. also you do not have to login to the server to make it accissible to other systems over network... even if it stays at the login screen it will keep working as the DC (or whatever role) for other machines in the domain/network..
