win xp restore problem

hi guys,
I want to restore my pc to earlier restore point but what i see is my system restore is currently suspended
I tried increasing disk space reserved for same purpose but nothing happened...
I want to change it to MONITERING state again
how can i do
please help...

Right click the My Computer icon and select Properties. Go to System Restore and uncheck the "Turn off System Restore on all drives" option. Then, go to Start>Run and type in services.msc and press Enter. In the Services window, double click the System Restore Service, and make sure Startup Type is set to "Automatic". That should take of it monitoring your PC again. But know this - you cannot turn System Restore on now and expect to roll back to a previous date/time. When you turned it off, all previous Restore Points are gone forever.
