Both suck in after sales service.. If you need divx, go for galaxy s.. Divx along with super amoled is a deadly combo!

Yaah I too think Samsung GalaxyS is better technology wise...its problem will surely get fixed in future updates:razz:
Inbuilt divx, best 4" screen, great gameplay and bluetooth 3 r some of the differentiating factors.
BTW both r getting 2.2 soon

Desire has already started getting 2.2 :)

But yeah, SGS shouldn't be far behind ;)

I expect the GSM version of Droid X to be announced soon because Milestone 2 has been announced.

Right off the assembly line
I registered to the forum, just after finding this link. I am looking for Droid X. Didn't find the any information regarding the availability in India.

It is developed only for Verison customers in US. It become a revolution. The demand/request for the phone is so high outside US, so Motorola might think about the GSM version.

Motorola Milestone XT720 is almost similar to Droid X, except the design, apps and the 4.3" display.

Below are the only negative points for Droid X (just my opinion)
1. No 3G front cam.
2. Camera is average (Not bad/Needs improvement)

Apart from this, I believe HTC Evo is good. But not available in India.

Keep this forum updates, if any info regarding Droid GSM in India is available.

Wire muncher!
Desire lacks WCMDA hardware and no active noise cancellation hardware but if I remember correctly desire has BT 2.1+EDR which N1 has 2.0+EDR.

Bond, Desi Bond!
I wouldn't suggest buying USA CDMA phones for use in India. Most of the features will be left useless. Instead wait for Desire HD and Milestone 2.

I personally wouldn't go for any Motorola android phones.. Motorola has heavily locked all its phones!

Bad to the bone
As far as my knowledge goes CDMA phones in the US are without any SIM card slot (remember old RIL <karlo duniya muthi mein> :lol:phones) i.e. they are tied to the carrier. So any thought of using DroidX goes out of the window.

Yes, I have faced many issues with Samsung phones. It might have cutting edge technology and features. Will face issues with basic things.

Motorola is one the best, but in India the sales and services in not up to the mark. I am just looking at milestone XT720, but waiting for Droid X.

Nexus One, HTC Desire HD and HTC Evo are also good.

Below are some news which will give some hope about Droid X.
