which graphic card will suit my pc?

I have a sis motherboard (i think its M935) with 40GB HDD, 256MB DDR RAM, 2 PCI slots and WIN XP SP2. so please tell me which type of agp slot do i have and which type of graphic card i can purchase. please let me know whether i also have to upgrade to 512 MB RAM or it is suffiecinet at 256 MB.

I want to play NFS most wanted, and other high graphic games.

My SIS Motherboard config:

North Bridge Chipset: 650
South Bridge Chipset: 962/962L

I want to tell you is don't go for anything lesser than 256MB. of course you can play the latest games with all the eye candy turned On so dont worry for that. Currently 6600 256 MB costs around Rs.7000 (XFX). MSI or Asus can be a bit more expensive but worth the money. Geforce 6200 256MB is Rs.4,200 for the AGP 8x model.Go for 6600, you'll never regret it.
