What will a Mech Engg Fresher get?

Hi all
Im in DCE doing my mech engg{btech.}.Im scoring around 70%.
What is the best possible placement i can get,barring PSU ie IOCL,BHEL,etc. as i dont want to sit for GATE.

You can get into quality control, production assembly etc in reputed companies. Mechanical guys enjoy more liberal and generous future than dreaded IT. No wonder its called evergreen...

There is no relation between marks and your placement .

Many fools get more then their share and some get less .

So don't bother . Just do your best and be confident .

and also most companies in mech give below 3.5 lakhs to freshers. There is no above limit.

Don't be surprised if you get offers starting from 1.6L onwards. The industry is not in its best shape and too many other engineers to compete for the job.

One of my friends recently started with a faridabad based tool production company he's getting 12K as starting, not bad I should say! I got much lesser than that in start, screw you HCL!
