What type of memory card to use?

Hi friends,

I have a Canon Powershot A540 camera which I bought in April 2007. A 512MB memory card was bundled with the purchase offer at that time. Now I am planning to buy a 4GB memory card. But I forgot what type of memory card is compatible with this camera. Is it SD? Please mention.

I think it is SD

You can go for 4 GB Micro SD + Adpater. I am not sure whether there is 4 GB SD.

Yes, but make sure your cam support SDHC

@digitized: Your camera uses SD cards, but cannot use cards larger than 2 GB. SD cards larger than 2 GB are called SDHC cards. HC stands for High Capacity, but it's more than just the capacity. You need a camera or a card reader that is specifically made to be compatible with SDHC cards.
